People in Barangay Mabini have superstitions that are followed in various fields. At the baptism, if the parents want their child to have great self-confidence and succeed in life, the baptized person should immediately run out of the church after the ceremony. One of the beliefs of the people of barangay Mabini is to hang the clothes of the baptized child outside to make it rain for the feast. The people believe that when the one to be baptized is the firstborn, the grandfather or the grandmother must be the one to choose the name for the child so that it will have a long and prosperous life. When a boy and a girl are baptized at the same time, the boy must go first because if the girl goes first, the boy will not grow a beard when he grows up, while the girl who will have a beard will probably have different attitudes.
